The answer is April Fools Day, not a software bug.

The forum is now running on phpBB 3.2.1, which is a maintenance release. There are some minor UI changes/fixes that most users probably won't notice. One change that might get noticed, the forum and topic icons are now hi-resolution (retina capable).

If you go to this page for active links then you'll see some of the subject lines running over the page count links (at least I do).
This seems to be a new bug.

Yes it does. Good catch. There seems to be some discussion of the issue on the phpBB support forums, so hopefully it will get resolved in their next maintenance release.

That bug has been fixed in this release.

The phpBB team has also done some further work to address the Forum / topic icon blurriness that existed on some device types.
