I'm wondering if I should be purchasing XWD. It's had a few great years where it benefited from the lower Canadian dollar to boost it's returns so it's difficult to truly judge it's performance on a world market.
Thoughts?
Should I just get
55% SPY
45% VEU
XWD vs SPY/VEU

From a currency exposure perspective it doesn't matter. It's had a few great years where it benefited from the lower Canadian dollar to boost it's returns so it's difficult to truly judge it's performance on a world market.

I get the impression you are way too focused on past performance.
