Kroger (NYSE:KR) Board of Directors Approves $1 Billion Share Repurchase Program; Raises Quarterly Dividend
...from 48¢ to 50¢ per year. The next quarterly dividend of 12.5 cents per share will be paid on September 1, 2017, to shareholders of record on the close of business on August 15, 2017.
Apparently they're unfazed by the potential headwinds in the groceries sector with the Amazon-Whole Foods acquisition.

Finally

Seems to imply that KM will not be saddled with construction costs in 2018?

Don't know about KMI's development plans overall corporate wide, which is different than KML in Canada. IIRC, KMI went through a near-death experience in the USA a year or two ago until it re-organized itself out of MLP structures.

Does talking about a dividend increase count? If so, we have this comment from management at Altagas (ALA)
Due to the strong performance of our projects under construction and several new opportunities we see this year, we are excited about the remainder of 2017. As we continue to build on this momentum, the Board will make a decision on the increase to the dividend in the fourth quarter. We are committed to driving value for our shareholders."

I simply read that as 'talking up their share price'. There was nothing in the 2Q earnings release that was exciting and indeed they are reaching with mentioning a lot of speculative numbers reaching right into 2021. The market doesn't seem to give a damn either and market price continues to slide.

Curious . What kind of annual dividend increase can one expect with the more popular Canadian dividend ETFs? I am guessing that it would be around 3%.

Look at the annual distributions from some of the more popular ones yourself. That info is available if you dig for it. Not only for the dividend ETFs but broad market ones like XIU as well (broad based may even by better, or less, lumpy than the dividend ETFs).

Pattern Energy Group (PEGI) manages a micro-increase of 0.5%

It ain't much, but at least it's in the right direction, and they do seem to be increasing every quarter.
