Bird Construction Inc. (TSX:BDT) Announces 2016 Third Quarter Results and Reduction in Dividend Effective January 31, 2017
...reduction to its monthly dividend by 48.7% to $0.0325 per share from $0.0633 per share. On an annualized basis, the new dividend rate is $0.39 per share down from $0.76 per share.

Sold the Bird almost exactly a year ago today, at 13.65. Lucky break.

I may as well chime in here for the sake of honesty... I still own BDT and was quite unpleasantly surprised yesterday evening with this anouncement. Fortunately it represents less than 1% of total assets... :cry:

I own BDT as well. After today's cut my holding makes up 1.29% of equity holdings. Likely won't be adding in the near future.

The thing with Bird is that it was inevitable. Glad to hear at least one of you got out of this turd before the long term economics came home to roost. My posts from years back as to why this stock and others like it are to be avoided in all but special situations linked here.I wish someone had provided clarity during all the times I tried something that later wound up inflicting pain on my wallet.
