Posting, then ducking, Enbridge Reports 2011 Unaudited Results
Quarterly dividend increased by 15% to $0.2825 per common share effective March 1, 2012
<snip>
Enbridge's Board of Directors also approved a 15% increase to the 2012 dividend. Enbridge has increased its dividend by an average of 13% per year over the last five years."
P.S. Is it really necessary to post with large text to highlight dividend increases? By definition, this topic is about dividend increases, so just being included in the topic is good news.

Brookfield Asset Management Announces Year End-2011 Financial Results and Dividend Increase

$3.7 Billion of Consolidated Net Income, $2.0 Billion for Brookfield Shareholders

Dividend Increased 8% to Annualized 56 Cents Per Share

BTW, I agree that it is not necessary to use bigger fonts for the headlines; I simply thought that it was easier to read, particularly for those of us who don't see as well as they used to.

Technically this is the first payment of the new rate, Enbridge Increases Dividend by 15% and Announces 2012 Earnings Guidance --December 7, 2011
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Dec. 7, 2011) - Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB) (NYSE:ENB) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.2825 per common share, payable on March 1, 2012 to shareholders of record on February 15, 2012. Still, the ought to be a law against misleading wording like the today's press release.

Enbridge is really slick in marketing their stock - start a few rumours about a dividend increase, announce the increase two or three times before implementing it, then announce it again with the earnings report
Once the stock has skyrocketed - time for another stock split. Eventually this will catch up with them

Hi,

Not sure if anyone else owns this or not. Also, excellent share price appreciation over the last four years.
Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC) announced today a 10% increase in the regular quarterly cash dividend for 2012. The Board of Directors of the Company, at its February 20, 2012 board meeting, increased the cash dividend payable to an annual rate of $1.98 per share compared with the previous dividend of $1.80 per share. The quarterly cash dividend of forty-nine and one-half cents ($.495) per share is payable April 2, 2012 to shareholders of record March 9, 2012. GPC has paid a cash dividend every year since going public in 1948, and 2012 marks the 56th consecutive year of increased dividends paid to shareholders.
Cheers

Hi,

Perhaps not very widely owned, but just to be thorough...
{Westar Energy a] Kansas-based utility, raised its quarterly dividend rate by a penny (3.1%) to $0.33 a share, giving the stock a current yield of 4.7% at week's end. This matched the penny-a-share quarterly hikes in each of the last four years and marked an ninth straight year of dividend increases since growth resumed in 2004.
I've done pretty well with it over the last 3 years. :)
Cheers
