With China helping Sudan, and Russia in Georgia... the thought of investing in a BRIC fund makes my stomach churn.

I think I will hold off on any emerging-market component in my portfolio until good low-fee funds are available with ethical screens. I'm sure they'll exist within the next few years.

It looks as CBQ-T will be terminated in September.

To me, the cleanest would be to sell now, provided you can get NAV, or close to NAV. Some divergence (discount to NAV) might happen although arbitrage should fix that. At least I know what I get by selling now and have a clean entry on Schedule 3 of my tax return.
