Americans in Canada Tax Break?

Post by Retired Guy »

I'm wondering what the new US tax law may hold in store for dual CAD/US citizens living in Canada. Lots of hope before it was signed, see: http://business.financialpost.com/opini ... -tax-break

Haven't found anything on the net that describes actual changes, if any.

Nothing for Americans in Canada. In fact, it's worse. See http://isaacbrocksociety.ca

There is some growing awareness of the issue down there, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Both the Bush and Obama administrations made things worse for Americans abroad, now Trump has done the same.

As an ex-American abroad, I could go into the many reasons for why it never gets better, but American exceptionalism would be high on my list.
