Stanford CS 007-05 "Personal Finance for Engineers" - not just for engineers

Post by Peculiar_Investor »

Although the outline suggests this course if for Engineers, from I've seen/read in the first 5 sessions this could be very useful for many, particular newcomers to FWF. A significant portion of the material would probably be considered common sense by those who've hung around FWF for a while, it isn't exactly rocket science. Some of the concepts are US-centric, but the overall message resonates with FWF's goals of financial education and empowerment.

So far there have been 5 sessions
  1. Stanford CS 007-01: Personal Finance for Engineers
  2. Stanford CS 007-02: Personal Finance for Engineers / Predictably Irrational
  3. Stanford CS 007-03: Personal Finance for Engineers / Getting Paid
  4. Stanford CS 007-04: Personal Finance for Engineers / Spend Less Than You Make
  5. Stanford CS 007-05: Personal Finance for Engineers / Know Your Worth

Normal people… believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Engineers believe that if it ain’t broke, it doesn’t have enough features yet. – Scott Adams

Cool. I wonder if they will eventually release videos of the classes as well.
