Seeking investment advice within six months

Post by raymondpoon »

I have about $15000 for investment until I buy a car in about six months.
Should I put the money in a TFSA?
What type of investment is good for about six months?

Welcome to the forum, Raymond.

A TFSA is a good way to save for future intended purchases. You can look at our finiki article here.
Have you ever had a TFSA account before? There are contribution limits as well as rules about withdrawals.

TFSAs originally allowed you to contribute $5000 a year. If you didn't, you could carry over that annual amount, building contribution room.

What's your situation?
