Re: Alimentation Couche-Tard (Symbol-ATD.B)

While I'm thinking of it. Read a weird thing about Quebec. Seems they are starting to completely ban car washing at home. Various municipalities puting in laws against it to curb soaps and run offs etc. So seems ATD is adding carwashes in various spots. I've not googled it up but took the story from...

To far ahead to worry about. It's all next quarter or next year at most. I think the market will absorb my few hundred shares when the time comes. Me not Buffett.

Ya the phrase do you want fries with that. I guess it's different from them adding fries without asking. So were all capitalist pigs defending our turf ! How dare they attack my dividend stream :) It's a testy citizenry or are they all just consumers now. Deep breath and a week from now it will be b...

Even when more electric cars arrive...there arn't many of the 'fast' charging spots. I wonder how many owners will meander into the store and pass time buying stuff.

Naw. Dollars to Donuts the local boss was a grump and they disgruntled. Two weeks from now it's forgotten. Even if it was as bad as the Well Fargo deal look where their stock is back at. (We have cold and snow, I envy your sunshine and retirement :)

Personal account at bmo and I find they will call or offered up more often than td. At TD we have just the brokerage account but use the teller once in a while. Ya little stuff, dangles offers. Probably a rogue pushy boss and a belligerent po'd teller. Bigger things in this life to worry about but a...

I like the long charts where world wars and plagues are 2 mm high dimples. So... A lot of agony over buying Monday at $137 or Wed at $135 or Friday at $142. Getting 'the price'. Aim for 2027 or beyond, you might not even recall this year. Sounds like the Jetson's but it's just another ten years. I g...

I've had 4 Toyota's. I'd agree theres usually no magic 2 year deal. I did get a decent demo once, 2 new, only 1 used three years old. Worth looking for the exception to thr rule but I've found i could get a fresh unsquashed seat that way.

us treasury yield curve chart link

I ran across this and thought it was handy. https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/data-chart-center/interest-rates/Pages/Historic-Yield-Data-Visualization.aspx In January with no green grass or fun distractions, reading and learning about the yield curve is further up the fun list than it usually...

For what it's worth, a little td report mentioned them today. One year outlook return was 1.8% or something like that. Didn't seem like anything that required nimble trading fingers or furious chewing on pencils on the trading floor of our home offices :)

Here's a story in The Atlantic from last June on Trump. http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2016/06/the-mind-of-donald-trump/480771/ I think it's difficult to separate politics from investment investment when you a genuine loose cannon in office. What could go wrong with a erratic narcissist...

Saw this mentioned over in the what did you buy thread. Looked it up on the globe for fun and it's an interesting chart. If you plot it 10 years against the sp500 you say wow fantastic beats the market. If you chart it five years you tear away the hero medal and call it a bum. Shows how your dates a...
