It was early days and I am pretty sure they did not know what they were doing. My MJ expires in 2025 and the cell phone has replaced it for incoming notices.Bylo Selhi wrote: ↑17 Jan 2024 09:17Who is "they?" FWIW I have my Google Voice number on file for 2FA with both TDDI and Wise. They both work fine for authentication. I've never had an issue with either about using a US number for that purpose.

I initiated a Wise transfer on Sunday from TD via Interac. Supposed to take about 5 minutes. When nothing happened, I initiated a chat and email conversation. Was receiving their emails no problem.
All the trouble shooting produced nothing. The request showed up on Monday morning!
On FATCA, they insisted I remove my MagicJack US phone number from my profile (located in San Diego). I had not been in the US for over 15 years!

Yes! I came across an old spreadsheet from Greenline with stock quotes from Yahoo. The hoops we had to jump through.SQRT wrote: ↑07 Jan 2024 07:21…
As to calculating them, all good brokerages provide them with a few clicks. Some aggregation may be required but it’s simple. Really remarkable how the brokerages have improved in this regard over the past decade despite the griping you often see here. All for $10 , or less, a trade.
But yes it was a lucrative hobby! A combination of value followed by consistent momentum was my selection criteria and quick to dump bad decisions.

I agree with Unwise.
With TD, we have no joint accounts. When we rented our place, jointly-held, we had to go back and get the cheques reissued in my name!

In Mexico, the celebration is on the 24th evening and we went to a friend’s place for a scrumptious homemade dinner and gift exchange.
I hope you are all enjoying the spirit of the holidays!
Today is our turn to host some other friends. And continue the Sunday Ticket.

I am a legacy investor. Fully invested when ETFs were introduced. Invested in winners and sold losers using the same formula. My heirs will do their part to reduce our national debt. After my charitable donations of course.

Although I left my programming days behind on 1970, I remember a contest involving unpacking those into self-documented code.Bylo Selhi wrote: ↑15 Dec 2023 13:06Indeed. How about a one-line APL implementation of Conway's Game of Life?

(In my final programming days in 69, I was pressed into service to teach a coding course.
Being creative, I assigned the class the module I had to get done that week. The results were amazing as I learned some things from the best submitted and got my job done. Plus everyone appreciated the practical nature of the class!)
