For short term investments such as this, return of capital is far more important than return on capital.

Therefore the standard recommendation in these types of situation is to use a GIC or High-interest savings account and accept whatever guaranteed rate is available.

For many items I've always felt there was significant overlap between Sears and The Bay and not much to distinguish between the two. In many urban centres they were both part of the same mall complex, so comparison and price shopping was very easy. I cannot imagine that was very helpful to either's ...

Thanks. One of my annoyances with Quicken (and other applications) is the update process is launched before they provide any information on what's contained in the update and what new steps/changes such as you've outlined might be required. I initially declined the R7 update after reading your post....
