I also find I don't really pay full attention without some skin in the game. 100 or nothing usually. Googles and such can be the exception :)

Re: Strategy and Performance Tracking

Strategy labs wrap up. I did a quit rough data grab from the globe funds quote for 5 year chart results of sp500 total return end of oct 2012 to 2017 21.19% so 50k would become $129.3. The imperfect Canadian index for same period was 8.41% 50k becomes $81.1. Mawer Cdn fund would have been 13.59% for...

Really really off topic but wanted to say how sloppy the Financial Post is. The story linked above for art has a photo that is almost 4000x6000 pixels and comes in at over 7 megs. Crazy. We used to get files out at under 100k. :) Rant off. :)

So where do you go to buy a shirt now that's better than Walmart and less pricey than say Columbia? The classic middle age middle income beige Canadian seems to have fewer choices when it comes to clothing with a good quality/price balance. There's lots of noise and flashing signs but not so much in...

UBS has a section of it's web site where they have text and video interviews with some top notch people. Usually more of a broad nature. Mawer, mutual fund managers, had a story on this sort of thing in their insights. They had some German nuclear plants and then came the political side of Fukushima. I just saw I've been here 10 years and few days. Missed the rollover, kinda like the car a 100,000 someone pulls a stunt in front of you and you miss it. Learned a lot and it doesn't feel like ten years. In hindsight was a good time to commiserate given how things unraveled for a while.

I was disappointed the table didn't have a 'congratulations you won' spot when it turned from 99 to 100. I suppose in most cases 100 is a curse. Thanks for the chart link, it's kinda comforting in a confusing world.
