I ran across this and thought it was handy. https://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/data-chart-center/interest-rates/Pages/Historic-Yield-Data-Visualization.aspx In January with no green grass or fun distractions, reading and learning about the yield curve is further up the fun list than it usually...

TRP seems more expensive than ENF (globe says pe of 21.5 versus 15-16) IF ENF is a bit of trader and sell 33+ whatcha think of TRP these days at almost $60

Here's a story in The Atlantic from last June on Trump. http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2016/06/the-mind-of-donald-trump/480771/ I think it's difficult to separate politics from investment investment when you a genuine loose cannon in office. What could go wrong with a erratic narcissist...

Saw this mentioned over in the what did you buy thread. Looked it up on the globe for fun and it's an interesting chart. If you plot it 10 years against the sp500 you say wow fantastic beats the market. If you chart it five years you tear away the hero medal and call it a bum. Shows how your dates a...

Interesting and a reminder of how India isn't Switzerland. Reminds me a little of the nicely dressed people lined up during a bank run in Shanghai post ww2 pre mao winning.

Everyone is quick to think the Northwest company is a remote operator but isn't it really mostly western Canada Giant Tiger locations? I couldn't see a breakout but I bet the 30 of GT sales would rival the 130 or as smaller northern outlets.

packaging stocks ccl. winpack, intertap polymer

Seems there is a industry consolidation going on, medium fish eating smaller.... on and on. I've got the ...

I saw a story comparing this is a similar US stock cinemark CNK. CNK metrics were all more favourable. I guess in Canada we stretch for a dividend and tax credit. I think one of the Mawer funds had a decent amount of this.
