Re: TDDI - New WebBroker interface

I have them all a quick count was about 35-37 reports all readable under the Research tab, reports, rarely look at these anymore. Interesting, thanks for checking, BRIAN5000. FWIW, I count 28 report names showing in my 'archive' list, but as I say, some aren't actually available to me when I click ...

What are the general stats on the fourplex, mortgage rent? Any other assets or cash flow? Looks like you're going to borrow about 70% on the value of your PR? When that PR drops to 1 million in the next few months instead of $1.4 million what will your position look like? If I did something I though...

Not sure if my numbers are typical or not In 08/09 my equity portfolio was worth $610,000 with $210,000 of CG by the time the carnage was done I was down $300,000. Ate through all my gains from 1995 till then plus into capital. I was able to buy in up until sept/oct of 08 but then I had had enough a...

Don't know if this was missed or I just missed it. The Procter & Gamble Co. PG, +0.22% late Tuesday said its board of directors has authorized a 3% dividend increase to 68.96 cents a share payable May 15 to shareholders of record April 21. That's the 61st straight year that the consumer products com...

Re: Investment changes in retirement

Do you have a suggestion of better wording? I don't want to use the term "bucket" because those who promote bucket systems usually have money migrating between buckets. There's no such thing, here. The lifelong income part is isolated and never replenished. Well, English is my third language, so I'...

I'm not a fan of sliding asset allocations, even when based on bequest motives Well I'm a fan of sliding asset allocations at least at the moment. Generally a lot of information is available about retirement at a "typical" retirement age, 65. From 65 to about 75 sequence of returns risk within this...

Re: Investment changes in retirement

The retiree passes away and markets crash deeply (80% or 90%) quickly after. Big parts of the remaining portfolio have to be sold at very low prices to pay for the taxes on capital gains in non-registered accounts at the time of death, before the crash. How likely is this? Say starting with 1 milli...

If it was me and I was 68 and I had a 100% fixed income portfolio I don't think I would be going 63/37. Here's an idea and I'm not saying it's a good one or to use these ETF's. XWD could be used as a single ETF in all accounts it has a higher Mer than others but depending on what other ETF's are used maybe only be a few hundred dollars a year, a combination of ETF's would be cheaper. (shown in the ope...

Your decision as to hold or sell will always be based on current yield not historical yield. Yeah I know I always get it wrong, I used to (still a consideration) weight stocks by risk, then equal weight, now the ones which have the highest (absolutely useless ) historical YOC will get a 4% weightin...
